The invention is related to heat engineering and is designed for conversion of solar energy to heat energy of a heat carrying medium, and can be used in manufacture of a wall or roof panel. The method for conversion of solar energy to heat energy comprises guiding the solar energy to a circulation loop containing a movable absorbing heat carrying medium, and transmitting heat energy from the latter to the working heat carrying medium. One or more circulation loops are placed in the working heat carrying medium, and heat energy transmitting is provided along the entire loop. The solar collector for implementation of the method comprises a sealed hollow casing 1 consisting of a transparent window 2, a back wall 3, side walls 4, 5, a lid 6 and a bottom 7 that comprise panels with cavities made therein. A safety valve 8 is mounted in the lid 6. The casing 1 houses a circulation loop 9 fixed in the required position by inserts 10. An inlet and outlet connection pipes are mounted in the back wall. Cavities of the walls 3, 4, 5 and cavities of the lid 6 and of the bottom 7 are filled with a heat-insulating material, and the sealed cavities of the window 2 are filled with argon. Free to move absorbing heat carrying medium is inside the circulation loop 9. The inner cavity of the casing 1, around and inside the circulation loop 9, is filled with the working heat carrying medium. The technical result consists in higher efficiency of converting light energy of the sun to heat energy of the heat carrying medium (higher efficiency factor), higher power output, broader functional capabilities and a wider area of application while retaining a simple design and a simple manufacturing process.
