A microoptical imaging system for visual and instrumental control of product authenticity claimed as an invention is related primarily to devices used for certifying authenticity of products, and can be used efficiently for protection of bank notes, securities, documents, plastic cards, bank pay cards, excise labels, identification or control marks, and various consumer products against counterfeiting. The microoptical system according to the invention comprises a binary kinoform that forms, in coherent light, an image for instrumental control in a plane parallel to the plane of the optical element. The kinoform is divided into elementary areas, each having a constant depth of microrelief. The microrelief depth defines the colour visible to an observer in each elementary area when the optical element is illuminated with white light. The combination of essential features of the invention provides attainment of the technical result that consists in higher reliability of control of protected products due to obtaining an easily controlled visual effect, and in the possibility of instrumental control by the microoptical system in coherent light, including automated control. Implementation of the microoptical system for forming visual images using existing standard equipment is possible.
