To tamp the track, tamping is moved in pairs to each other using an auxiliary cylinder (18). Vibration is superimposed on the linear lifting motion of the auxiliary piston (19) that is moved in the auxiliary cylinder (18). It is created by a vibrating piston (24) located in the auxiliary cylinder (18) and moving independently of the auxiliary piston (19).
