Novelty: a sliding work cage to be set on the peripheral top floor of the liquid hydrocarbons-containing cisterns for the control and maintenance -at any height required-of the piping and shell thereof is disclosed. Function mode: the work cage is composed of metal elements and operates as follows: the work cage is placed, with the assistance of a crane, on the side of the cistern΄s shell 16; the basic user enters the cage from above and heads to the first work floor 10 via the stairs 7. The secondary user draws the cage to the top floor 17 so that the work cage can peripherally move around the cistern, allowing the access of the basic user to the next point needing intervention. A second work cage can potentially be adapted via the threaded connection 6, giving access to the second workfloor 11. Advantages: easy use, replacement of expensive and energy-consuming solutions such as cranes and scaffoldings.
