LOW DISRUPTION CURRENT ESTIMATED BOOST CONVERTER FOR PV MAXIMUM POWER EXTRACTION

A PV module (200) including a PV array (202), a current estimator (204), an MPPT controller (206), a pulse generator (208), a DC- DC boost convertor (210), and a load (212) is provided. The current estimator (204) numerically computes a value of an output current of the PV array (202) and thereby signals the MPPT controller (206). The MPPT controller controls the operation of the DC-DC boost converter (210) by way of the pulse generator (208). The DC-DC boost converter (210) drives the load (212) such that the PV array (202) operates at MPP, thereby enhancing efficiency of the PV module (200).
