For painting of clay idols the elements of paints can be used from environment or natural sources which are eco-friendly, reproducible and it is easily dissolved without harming the nature. The main paints (Picture -1) produced are red, brown, blue, white, black and grey. White paint is made (Picture -1.7) by lime and whilst the Blue paint (Picture -1.8) is produced by indigo whereas Black paints (Picture -1.9) came from mixture of black ash and deep shaded fine clay. The different shades of gray is produced by the mixture of fine clays from Pawni and Rajura (Picture -2).The different shades of red, brown, are mostly produced by using the finest clay of Kherlangi, (Picture -3) and Ramtek (Picture - 4). All shades developed by fine clay are diluted by the fine white clay of Rajura.
