AN APPARATUS FOR ARSENIC AND IRON REMOVAL FROM GROUNDWATER AND A METHODOLOGY

An apparatus for removal of arsenic and iron from groundwater comprises: a feed pump (1) attached to the main tank (2) feeds the contaminated water into the contact tank (3) in which partially purified water is stored temporarily, wherein purification takes place by using aluminium sulphate; the contact tank (3) has been connected for a pressure filters (4) filed with appropriate filter media and the completely pure water has been stored into overhead reservoir (5) and then supplied to consumers by gravity.
