CIPROFLOXACIN HYDROCHLORIDE HYDROGEL FORMULATIONS

Hydrogel formulations of Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride for improving the stability at various pH levels are disclosed. The formulation comprises of a non-ionic surfactant such as poloxamer 188 and poloxamer 407, chitosans, carbopols, semisynthetic cellulose derivative, preservative, artificial sweetening agents and flavoring agents. The ingredients are estimated by weighing accurately 1mg to 100mg of each ingredient separately by using UV method. The ingredients are dissolved in methanol and/or acetonitrile of required volume with water. The stability of hydrogel formulations are determined at various pH levels. A plurality of artificial sweetening agents and flavoring agents are added to the hydrogel formulations.
