ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION Advancement in concrete technology is reducing the consumption of Natural Resources and Energy sources and lessening the burden of pollutants on environment. Hence the reuse of waste materials has been emphasized. Presently large amount of some agricultural wastes that are generated are used as a partial replacement of cement. Waste can be used to produce new products or can be used as admixtures so that natural resources are used more efficiently and the environment is protected from waste deposits. In recent years, the use of these supplementary cementations materials is not only improving the various properties of concrete - both in its fresh and hardened states, but also can contribute to economy in construction costs. Hence an experimental program is to be conducted to develop new kinds of pozzolana from agricultural wastes as such Peanut shell Ash. The production of beam using PSA as cement replacement is to be investigated. A number of 4 beams are casted for each replacement levels (0%, 5%, 10%, and 15%) with PSA. The beams are cured and crushed at 7 and 28 days. In the present investigation the Peanut shell ash has been used to study the effect on compressive and split strength of M40 grade concrete. Size of the beam casted are 1200*100*100 mm. The concrete containing 15% replacement shows relatively lesser results compared to conventional concrete. The flexural strength of the beam results Upto 79.76 KN under the replacement of 15% and curing period of 28 days. It is economical and due to reuse of agricultural waste contributes positive impact to the globe. The global environmental Solid waste management problem can also be rectified by following this recommended material for construction of Smart structures.
