Solar PV powered Vapor compression Refrigeration unit for the simultaneous generation of power, cooling and water The present invention relates to water production utilizing the waste heat from solar photovoltaic operated vapor compression refrigeration system. The atmospheric air at higher humidity -level is heated by utilizing the condenser heat from the vapor compression refrigeration system that decreases the relative humidity of the air. Then it gets humidified in a chamber and again flows through a nano coated heat pipe heat exchanger for dehumidification to generate fresh water. The proposed unit, generates 20 liters of water per day, if the air conditioner is in operation for 6 hours during the sunshine with 3.5 kW capacity. The proposed unit can generate power, cooling and water simultaneously without any operational expenditure.
