Disclosed herein. is an improved process for the preparation of stable fatliquor emulsion for leather fatliquoring for any type of application in leather processing.for making any types of leathers using ultrasound at the interface of oil/fat and dispersing medium at specified power density and frequency for specified time either continuously or in pulse mode with optional heating or stirring using surfactant and stabilizer. In addition, process for stabilization in preparation of stable fatliquor emulsion through the use of suitable stabilizers such as hydrocolloids or gums even with optional ultrasound or heating. This process enables emulsification at quicker time with maximum yield while retaining the neutral oil component required for better functional properties of leather. This process enjoys the benefit of less pollution load in the form of chemical entities without necessarily solvents, without stirring, without heating, process could be done even at ambient conditions.
