The present invention discloses a novel process for Gallic acid extraction from tannery waste and agro waste using enzyme nanoparticle system for the conversion of tannins into Gallic acid. The tannins are obtained from tannery waste and agro waste. The process involves bio-refining of agro-industrial residue by utilizing the microbial tannase enzyme immobilized on nanoparticles. Agro waste and tannery effluents are dried and ground to fine powder. The powder is extracted with solvent to obtain tannins. After that the fermentation is done by using enzyme nanoparticle system for the conversion of tannin into Gallic acid. Finally the recovery and extraction of Gallic acid is done by the liquid-liquid extraction process. The process is easy, economical and ecofriendly and also overcomes the disadvantages of the existing techniques and processes.
