POWER QUALITY ASSESSMENT OF SPACE VECTOR BASED UNIFIED POWER FLOW CONTROLLER (UPFC) APPLIED ON TRANSMISSION LINE

摘要

The present invention relates to space vector based unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC). The active power, harmonics in current and voltage at receiving end has been observed with PWM based switching and space vector based switching applied to voltage source converter. The EHV transmission lines are working at very high voltages therefore external controlled is difficult in practice. Hence its proto type model is relevant to exhibit real and reactive power control by using UPFC. The harmonics in current and voltage at receiving end is also less as compared to the pulse width modulation based UPFC.
