INNOVATIVE APPROACH TO CONTROL WHEELCHAIR FOR DISABLE PEOPLE USING BCI Control wheel chair using BCI is necessary for disable person to improve their daily movement. Driving a wheelchair in 4 basic directions (Forward, Backward, Left, Right) using color based approach wherein a person concentrates on a color in order to provide direction to the wheelchairs movement. Brain-computer interface (BCI) technology is the most trending technology in todays era that provides impaired or disabled person the ease of mobility. Disabled person no longer have to depend on peripheral nerves and muscles of their body for movement, instead their brain activity is captured by EEG device which is used for locomotion. BCI is a translation algorithm that converts electro physiological input from user into the output that controls external devices such as motors, direction of wheel etc. BCI helps the disabled to move freely based on the values generated from their brain activity, when a color is identified.
