ABSTRACT Method for secure communication in NAN mesh network comprising infrastructure network and NAN cluster Embodiments herein provide a method for secure communication in a neighbor aware network (NAN) mesh network comprising an infrastructure network and NAN cluster. The method includes automatically configuring a first mesh device with a first security mode of operation for the infrastructure network and a second security mode of operation for the NAN cluster and joining the infrastructure network by the first mesh device using the first security mode of operation. Further, the method also includes joining the NAN cluster by the first mesh device using the second security mode of operation and performing by the first mesh device a secure communication with at least one second mesh device over the mesh network.
