Present invention provides specially a very simple yet very effective approach of automated identification of isolated and overlapping objects. A novel Constrained Delaunay Triangulation [CDT] based approach is explored and experimented for biological database of chromosomes (isolated and overlapping). Degree of the vertices of the formed triangles plays an important role in decision making of isolated and overlapping chromosome. The results signify the effectiveness of the proposed novel CDT based approach. Following invention is described in detail with the help of Figure 1 of sheet 1 showing the isolated and overlapping chromosomes, Figure 2 of sheet 1 showing the computation of CDT on the samples and Figure 3 of sheet 1 shows degree- index of the triangles marked (decreasing order of the area).
