This method of evaluating a sand contamination degree of foundry sand by measuring the electrical conductivity of the foundry sand includes: a step of preparing reference samples (1 101) and a comparison sample (201) of the foundry sand; a step of measuring the electrical conductivities of the reference samples and the comparison sample after subjecting the reference samples and the comparison sample to a humidification process; and a step of evaluating the sand contamination degree on the basis of the measured electrical conductivities of the reference samples and the comparison sample.
