Exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure are directed towards a waste monitoring system for smart bins and method employed thereof. The system includes a processing device configured to electrically connect to atleast one sensor, whereby at least one sensor configured to detect the smart bin waste level and measuring the weight of the waste and further reporting to a control arduino by the processing device and the processing device further configured to control and operate at least one sensor. The system further includes a computing device configured to establish communication with the processing device to control and operate at least one sensor by a mobile application, whereby the mobile application is configured to send real time messages to the control arduino.
