The investigation is aimed at reducing the use of environment polluting fillers in rubber compounding. Organically modified hydrophobic nanoparticles of polysaccharides are used as nanofillers to obtain highly filled bionanocomposites of Natural Rubber by mastication process. The strength and thermal stability of the said compounds are comparable to those of conventional composites. We request that a patent may be granted to us for the said invention.[IN-MUM-2010-03553A]
