pThe fixture includes a thick-walled base 1' having first location means to locate and clamp one end of the component 10'. A thick-walled column 5' is fixed in the base. An endless tubular inflatable elastomeric pressure element 8' is disposed on the base between the column and the component. A sacrificial liner 6' also fits between the pressure element and the component. A thick-walled lid 12' may be fixed to the column. The pressure element may be a vehicle wheel inner tube and more than one may be used.
