The invention relates to chemistry and medicine, namely to the use as antioxidants of salicylidene-4-allyl-S-methylisothiosemicarbazidates of iron(III) and cobalt(III) of general formula:I-IIII : M = Fe3+, X = Cl-; II : M = Fe3+, X = NO3 -; III : M = Co3+, X = NO3 -.They can be used in medicine as substances that inhibit the oxidative processes of organic molecules in the human body, with a concentration of half-maximal inhibition IC50 of 0.5…0.7 µmol/L.
