The present invention discloses a method of synthesis and cross-linking of the 3,5-(dialaylcarbonyloxy) benzaldehyde monomer, which is useful in the manufacture of plastics. The process consists of an alcoholysis of the allyl-chloroformate with the diol 3,5-hydroxybenzaldehyde and obtaining the cross-linked polycarbonate (poly-(3,5-(diallyloxycarbonyloxy) ) benzaldehyde, by the polyaddition using benzoyl peroxide at 70°C.
