This invention relates to a system and method consisting of three steps: acquisition, processing, and interpretation; due to its general nature, this method and system may be applied to the study of seismic, ultrasound and electromagnetic waves; as well as to the study of the so-called coupled processes, which occur, for example, when pores, fractures, minerals, and fluids interact with seismic and electromagnetic waves, giving rise to the seismic electric effect. It should be noted that ultrasound waves may also cause electromagnetic waves and that electromagnetic waves may induce ultrasound waves. This invention may be applied in the search for hydrocarbons, minerals, geothermal and hydrological resources. Information is extracted from the non-hyperbolic times. DECONVOLUTION and the QUARTIC COEFFICIENT are used.
