The present invention relates to a load dilatometer comprising an oven and an integrated press. The furnace is surrounded by a general support ground platen for alignment thereof, on which the emitter-receiver laser scanning sensors are positioned. One of these sets of sensors is positioned such that the laser sweep measures the horizontal dimension. The other set is arranged differently to measure the axial dimension. In this way, two perpendicular dimensions can be measured. In the case of a cylindrically shaped sample, the radial direction can be the diameter and the axial height, whereby the state of deformation characterizes by a complete deformation. The bases of the sensors are movable so when moving the emitter-receiver pair in a coordinated manner it is possible to measure the change of some dimension in the sample. For example, the diameter variation can be measured according to the height or make adjustments to the point where the diameter is being measured. The oven posses ses four holes positioned in such a way that it is possible to perform measurements with the sensors from outside the same. Insulating blocks and high-efficiency heat exchangers are positioned between the furnace and the press to prevent heat from affecting the press.
