Disclosed are a piece of fabric for hand-sewn works and a method for making said works with said fabric, the piece of fabric consisting of a piece (1) of material that incorporates, with identical or different colours, prints and/or textures, figures (2) for making a determined patchwork design (3), each figure (2) being marked with a seam line (4) that defines the outline thereof and a cutting line (5), which is optionally die-cut, that defines a peripheral border. The method only comprises: obtaining the piece (1), cutting out the figures (2) along the cutting line (5), and sewing the figures together. Optionally, the patchwork design (3) is selected and the piece (1) is ordered with the figures (2) and desired colours, prints and/or textures.
