The present invention refers to magnetic gear transmission, where the magnetic gears consist in discs with permanent magnets located in the periphery thereof, which may be used as a speed reducer or amplifier, and being kinematically equivalent to a gear cycloidal transmission. The gear 1 is equivalent to an internal gear and the gear 2 to an external gear. The transmission of force between magnetic gears is achieved by means of the attraction, in a tangential direction, between magnets of different polarity upon a relative slight displacement therebetween and also by the friction associated to the normal contact force between the gears.
