A device that moistens the intake air of an internal combusti0n engine to get to a higher 25 efficiency of this combustion engine. By heating the suckedin air bef0rc it comes intO contact with air~permeable humid substances the absolute humidity is increased. The nwist substances may be contained in a container which is provided with an inlet tube and an outlet tube through which air is drawn in by the engine. The heating of the air can be achieved by placing the cntumcc of the inlet tube close to the (hot) exhaust.
