Method for the preparation of high performance composite sorbents for removing contaminants from nanoporous carbon fiber-based waters coated with nano particles and micro particles of hydrated iron oxides utilizing the synergistic effect of a large surface of nano- and microparticles of hydrated iron oxides and a fibrous structure of the carrier , which reduces resistance to water flow, wherein the effectiveness and capacity of the sorbent in the removal of contaminants in the field of practical use is independent of the pH of the water.
