The invention relates to a processing system (1) comprising: at least one first work spindle (2); a tool magazine (6) for supporting different machining tools (4), wherein in the tool magazine (6) at least one memory plane (10) is provided with a plurality of juxtaposed tool receiving stations (11); a tool changing device (5) having at least one first gripping device (13) for exchanging the machining tool (4) received in the work spindle (2), the gripping device (13) having at least one first gripping unit (15) and one second gripping unit (16), which are arranged in a gripper unit distance (17) to each other. The gripping units (15, 16) are displaceable between the work spindle (2) and the tool magazine (6).
