A solar collector for a solar heat boiler, comprising: a plurality of heat transfer pipes within which a fluid to be heated flows; cylindrical heads (1, 3, 5) that are arranged in opposite positions and connected to opposite end portions of heat transfer pipes respectively; and a flat solar heat collection portion that is formed outside the heat transfer pipes and membrane bars (7) that fix adjacent pipes of the heat transfer pipes to each other; wherein: the cylindrical heads include an inlet head (1) into which the fluid to be heated flows, an intermediate head (3) that is disposed in a position opposite the inlet head with the interposition of transfer pipes of heat, and two outlet heads (5) that are intended to extend on opposite ends of the inlet head and through which the fluid introduced from the intermediate head to the transfer pipes can be discharged to the outside; and the solar heat collection portions include a first heat collection subportion (2) that is formed outside a group of heat transfer pipes connected between the inlet head (1) and the intermediate head (3) and the membrane bars (7) for the heat transfer pipe group so that it forms a central region of the solar heat collection portion that extends in an axis direction of each heat transfer pipe, and second sub-portions (4) that are formed outside the heat transfer pipe groups connected between the intermediate head (3) and the two outlet heads (5) and the membrane bars (7) for the heat transfer pipe groups so that they will form on opposite sides of the first heat collection subportion (2), respectively; wherein a protective plate (9) is disposed between the first heat collection subportion (2) and the second heat collection subportion (4); and the protective plate (9) is fixed to one of the heat transfer pipes by welding and is not fixed by welding to the other heat transfer pipe but in contact with it.
