A composition comprising a solution of PDGF and a biocompatible matrix, wherein the solution is arranged in the biocompatible matrix, for use in the attachment of a tendon to the bone, or the treatment of a damaged or injured tendon; wherein the biocompatible matrix comprises: (a) a scaffolding material comprising a collagen patch or pad; or (b) a scaffolding material and a biocompatible binder comprising collagen; and wherein the PDGF solution has a PDGF concentration of 0.1 mg / ml to 1.0 mg / ml.
