Derived from the F2 / 5 strain of Agrobacterium vitis necrosis-negative isolated, said derivative retaining a biological control over the crown gill, in which a gene encoding an aminotransferase or a regulator of the iron response of said F2 / 5 of A. vitis is inactivated or in which the expression of the aminotransferase or the iron response regulator is reduced or canceled, and in which said aminotransferase has at least 90% sequence identity with SEQ ID NO : 4 and said iron response regulator has at least 90% sequence identity with SEQ ID NO: 6.
