Device (600) for use in a user equipment, UE, comprising: logic, of which at least one part is in hardware, the logic being configured to: send a request for access network information (610) about an interface connection S14 (612); identify a series of available wireless local area networks, WLANs, based on access network information received on the S14 interface connection (614) in response to the request for access network information (610); identify a WLAN selection policy rule, WLANSP, comprised in a management object, MO, of discovery and selection function of access networks, ANDSF, for the UE; and select a WLAN from the series of available WLANs, based on one or more WLAN selection criteria associated with the WLANSP rule, said one or more WLAN selection criteria including at least one of: a selection criteria of WLAN specified by a PreferredRoamingPartnerList (512) node of the ANDSF MO; and a WLAN selection criteria specified by an SPExclusionList (514) node of the ANDSF MO.
