A diagnostic test for Streptococcus agalactiae infections

A method for detecting infection in patients with Streptococcus agalactiae strains, wherein a patient sample is tested for the presence of the protein containing an amino acid sequence selected from: Seq. Id. No. 1, Seq. Id. No. 3, Seq. Id. No. 4 and the epitopes contained therein or antibodies specific for said protein, wherein the presence of said protein or of such antibodies indicates infection of the patient with Streptococcus agalactiae strains.
