An adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) peptide (ACTH1-39 peptide) for use in delaying the progression of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) in an individual suspected of having, or predisposed to Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), where the ACTH peptide is to be administered as a first dose and one or more subsequent doses.
