SYSTEM AND METHOD OF RECEIVING, ANALYZING, AND EDITING AUDIO TO CREATE MUSICAL COMPOSITIONS

An apparatus for creating a musical composition is disclosed. The apparatusincludes anaudio interface that operably receives audio from an input device and outputsaudio to anaudio output device, and an audio converter module is operably connected tothe audiointerface to convert audio received via the audio interface into an audiotrack. A recordingsession module may be provided to repeatedly playback a live loop thatincludes at least aportion of a first audio track, and to add at least a portion of a secondaudio track to the liveloop during repeated playback. A multi-track compositor module may also beconfigured toreceive a first audio track and a second audio track, automatically score eachpartition of thefirst and second audio tracks, and construct a third audio track based on thescores for eachpartition.
