A method and computing device for optimizing placement of digitalsignage content based on audience segments associated to digital signagedisplayunits. A plurality of audience segments are stored in a memory of a computingdevice. Characteristics of a digital signage content are received by thecomputingdevice. The characteristics of the digital signage content and the pluralityof audiencesegments are processed by a processing unit of the computing device, toidentifypotential placements for the digital signage content based on thecharacteristics ofthe digital signage content and the stored audience segments. The potentialplacements for the digital signage content are provided for bidding.
