The invention relates to an apparatus (100) which is designed and intended forde-icing thesurface (102a) of a casing tube (102) of a tendon (104), which tube is exposedto weatherinfluences, and/or to guard against, if not completely prevent, ice forming onsaid tube, thetendon (104) being anchored to a structure (110) by means cf an anchoringdevice (108).According to the invention, the apparatus for de-icing and preventing theformation of ice(100) comprises a power device (114), one end of which is in forcetransmitting engagementwith the anchoring device (108) or with a part (112, 113) that is connected tosaid anchoringdevice in an operationally stable manner, and the other end of which powerdevice is in forcetransmitting engagement with the casing tube (102) or with a part (103) thatis connected tosaid tube in an operationally stable manner, and which power device isdesigned andintended to move the casing tube (102) relative to the anchoring device (108)in thecircumferential direction (U) and/or in the radial direction (R) and/or in theaxial direction (L),in relation to the longitudinal extension direction (X) of the casing tube(102).
