A waveband routing method based on a series structure layering optical cross connection, the method comprising: S1, respectively arranging a series structure layering optical cross connection in a plurality of network nodes; S2, based on the plurality of network nodes, constructing a waveband switching elastic optical network based on the series structure layering optical cross connection; S3, receiving a connection request from a first network node to a second network node, and allocating a waveband path and an optical path for the connection request; and S4, according to an inclusion relationship between the waveband path and the optical path, allocating a sub-path for the connection request so as to route the connection request with a waveband. In the implementation of the waveband routing method based on a series structure layering optical cross connection, by allocating a waveband path and an optical path to a connection request, and allocating a sub-path for the connection request based on an inclusion relationship between the waveband path and the optical path so as to route the connection request with a waveband, the number of exchange ports can be significantly saved, thus reducing network costs.
