A high flow rate venturi burner comprises a venturi tube (10), a nozzle and a flame stabilizer. The venturi tube (10) has a gas inlet end (16) and a gas outlet end (18), the nozzle being provided on the gas inlet end (16), and the flame holder being provided on the gas outlet end (18). The flame holder comprises a flame holder body and a cylindrical housing (22) which is connected to the venturi tube (10). An outer cover (28) is connected to the cylindrical housing (22), and an ejection region is formed between the bottom of the outer cover (28) and the cylindrical housing (22). In the burner, the gas flow may be significantly increased without the flame being extinguished, thus enabling a high flow rate gas combustion to be achieved, and improving the combustion stability of a flare system.
