The invention relates to mining and may be used for the advance degasification of coal seams of any rank, and also of other mineral deposits scheduled for or already undergoing underground production (mining). The technical result of the invention comprises decreasing coal seam degasification time, reducing the danger of degasifying coal seams and increasing the efficiency of degasifying coal seams. A method for the advance degasification of undrained coal seams under production, by means of boreholes drilled in rock cavities, involves drilling boreholes in rock cavities planned in a mine, and subsequently lining said boreholes with steel casing having process holes, and cementing same below the aquifer; lining the boreholes with perforated fiberglass casing, below a metal casing pipe; subjecting working coal seams to the effect of periodic broadband plasma pulses; subjecting non-working satellite seams to the effect of periodic broadband plasma pulses; subjecting overlying permeable explosive rock to the effect of periodic broadband plasma pulses; collecting pure methane, via a borehole annulus, from the working seam, satellite seam and explosive permeable overlying rock.
