The present invention relates to the field of Internet, and provides a method for pushing information during reading interest determining and a determining system. The method comprises: recording a preset continuous reading time threshold of a book; monitoring the reading status of the book; determining whether book reading duration is greater than the continuous reading time threshold; if not, not using data corresponding to the book as interest data of a user; and if yes, using the data corresponding to the book as the interest data of the user and pushing patent information to the user. By monitoring the continuous reading status when a user is reading an electronic book, and determining, according to the continuous reading status, whether the user is interested in the book, the invention can more accurately determine the type of book of that the user is interested in, and can also reduce information noises and improve user experience while protecting the rights of the patentee (applicant).
