A strategy method and system for different time delays in video advertisement receiving. The method comprises the following steps: obtaining a transmission time delay of a transmission path of a video advertisement (S101); determining and obtaining a time range to which the transmission time delay belongs (S102); and sending definition corresponding to the time range to a server, such that the server issues a video advertisement with the definition (S103). The method achieves good user experience.
