Provided are a multicast access control method and system, a cloud desktop, and a cloud terminal. The system comprises a multicast initiation cloud terminal, a multicast reception cloud terminal, and a cloud desktop. The multicast initiation cloud terminal is used to establish a multicast channel with the cloud desktop after logging into the cloud desktop, to acquire multicast data from the cloud desktop by means of the multicast channel, and to send, to the cloud desktop, a notification message carrying a specified multicast address. The cloud desktop is used to establish a connection with a multicast reception cloud terminal corresponding to the specified multicast address, and to send the specified multicast address to the multicast reception cloud terminal. The multicast reception cloud terminal is used to establish, according to the specified multicast address, a connection with the multicast initiation cloud terminal and perform multicast data interaction. The invention solves a problem in the prior art in which cloud desktops have low efficiency of controlling multicast reception parties and multicast initiation parties, thereby making a contribution over the prior art.
