A subject of the present invention is a cosmetic composition in the form of an aqueous emulsion comprising: (A) at least 5% by weight of water relative to the weight of the composition; (B) from 1% to 20% by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition of alkylcellulose, the alkyl residue of which comprises between 2 and 6 carbon atoms and preferably between 2 and 3 carbon atoms; (C) at least one non- volatile first oil (C) chosen from silicone oils; (D) at least one hydrocarbon-based non- volatile second oil (D) chosen from esters of a linear or branched, preferably saturated, in particular C₂-C₁₀, diol and of benzoic acid; (E) at least one surfactant, which is preferably hydrocarbon-based. A subject is also a makeup and/or care process consisting in applying said composition to keratin materials, in particular the skin and/or the lips, and preferably the lips.
