APPLICATIONS OF RICE NRT1.1A GENE AND ENCODING PROTEIN THEREOF IN BREEDING FOR IMPROVING PRODUCTIONS OF PLANTS

Applications of a rice NRT1.1A gene and an encoding protein thereof in breeding for improving the productions of plants. The applications specifically relate to applications of the protein or an encoding gene thereof in adjusting and controlling the growth and development of plants. The growth and development are represented by the yield per plant and/or a plant height and/or the number of kernels per spike and/or a flowering time and/or a bolting time and/or the size of a rosette leaf. The protein is one of the following: (1) a protein, the amino acid sequence of which is indicated in a list 1; and (2) a protein, which is derived from the list 1 and related to the management and control of the growth and development of a plant, where one or several amino acid residues are substituted by and/or deleted from and/or added into the amino acid sequence indicated in the list 1. The applications are be of great importance for breeding new rice varieties having high productions.
