An aspect of the invention is directed to a computer-implemented method of implementing secure transaction management in an object-oriented transactional framework having sequentially assembled menu items and holding a user account upon which a transaction can be conducted and with which a user account object contained in the sequentially assembled menu items is associated. The method may be performed by an application server computer system. The method includes performing an aliasing operation on sensitive information associated with the user account to produce tokenized sensitive information and, consequently, associating the tokenized sensitive information with the user account. A transaction request from a client application running on a client computer and connected to the application server computer system may be authorized based at least in part on the tokenized sensitive information.
