An anti-water treeing cable utilizing a cross-linked polyethylene insulation material comprises an outer protection layer (1) and a water blocking layer (2) arranged sequentially from the outside to the inside. Insulation wire cores (12) are arranged in the water blocking layer (2). A water blocking filler (5) is arranged between the insulation wire cores (12). A moisture blocking layer (3) is arranged in the water blocking layer (2), and is made of a metal composite tape. A metal cladding layer (4) is arranged inside the moisture blocking layer (3). The water blocking filler (5) is arranged inside the metal cladding layer (4). Arranging the moisture blocking layer (3) inside the water blocking layer (2) can prevent the moisture blocking layer (3) from directly contacting the outer protection layer (1), reducing a coating degradation issue owing to a high temperature caused by an external environment or an overload. The metal cladding layer prevents the moisture blocking layer material from directly contacting the water blocking filler (5), and consequently, the moisture blocking layer does not become loose and as a result ineffective. The cable is utilized to prevent water from entering by employing a simple modification, and does not produce water trees in the cable insulation even if water enters the cable.
