An OPGW single wire torsional fatigue test method and apparatus. The OPGW single wire torsional fatigue test method comprises the following steps: acquiring a preset torsional angle and a preset number of torsions of an OPGW single wire (S1); applying, according to the preset torsional angle, a torsional force which is alternated successively in a forward and backward direction, to the OPGW single wire (S2); and when the number of times the torsional force has been applied reaches the preset number of torsions, stopping applying the torsional force to the OPGW single wire (S3). By applying a torsional force which is alternated successively in a forward and backward direction to an OPGW single wire, the test method can perform a bidirectional torsional fatigue test on the OPGW single wire, improving the reliability of test results and test efficiency. In addition, by means of a using a control device to control a torsional force loading device, the test apparatus can perform a bidirectional torsional fatigue test on the OPGW single wire whilst simultaneously performing a unidirectional torsional test and a stretching test thereon. The test apparatus is simple to operate and has multiple functions.
