A cultivation substrate and cultivation method for flammulina velutipes. Wood chips, animal dungs, plant ashes, rapeseed cakes, peat soil, and corncobs are selected as substrate formulation materials. The peat soil is an organic matter-rich substrate material, and is used together with the wood chips, animal dungs, plant ashes, rapeseed cakes, and corncobs. The fungus planting production period is shortened, the cultivation quality is also superior to that of the traditional substrate, and therefore, the yield and quality of fungus planting can be greatly and effectively improved. Moreover, also disclosed is a cultivation method that has simple operations.
